Kajun Kuisine in Universal City

Awe man, so awesome. Couldn't stop eating. I won't take it home, cause I rather come back and enjoy it here. Lovely tentative staff :) this place is 40 mins drive from my house but I don't care lol.

Where to start. First off I want to give kudos to Cajun cuisine for atleast attempting to make their food taste better. My first time there I got the gumbo which tasted rancid. Just recently I have gone back to see if their food and service has gotten any better. I got the po’boy sausage sandwich which was alright but needed a little more vegetables to even out the saltiness off the sausage but other than that it was decent. I also had some soup with potatoes and sausage mixed in with it which was way too salty. One of the cooks were blatantly arguing with one of the workers in the front as one of the owners just stared at them. The price for everything is too high for the quality of food they are offering. I mean who the hell sells 2 spare ribs for 5.50. Unless these ribs were made by Jesus they need to drop their prices. I feel as though the place has a lot of potential but really needs new management to truly take this southern style restaurant to the next level.

This is by far the best kajun/homemade food I have eaten in a very long time. Clean looking staff very friendly. Clean looking establishment. And great food. I strongly recommend the SWAMP WATER and BANANNA PUDDING! WIll be going back to eat there again.

I got the Crawfish E'toufee with a side of mac and cheese to go with a sweet tea. The mac and Cheese is to die for. Best mac and cheese I've ever had. Sweet tea was awesome, I can't pinpoint what it is but I wish I had a gallon of it. The E'toufee was creamy and flavorful. By the way they aren't closed from 2:30-4:30, they just have a limited menu.

These is one of the best Cajun I have had since becoming a resident of San Antonio... I'm not a big fan of sweet foods/meat, but I love the sweet ribs, fried cabbage and smothered pork steak..ErnestOptimum Foot Care, Randolph AFB!

Food and staff are amazing!! I recommend this place to everyone. Will definitely be coming back.

Awesome Atmosphere, Excellent Food, Great ServiceI had the opportunity to eat at Kajun Kuisine at the recommendation of a friend and I was truly impressed with their home style atmosphere with big restaurant flavors. I visited on the weekend and there was a wonderful blend of Jazz music with a personal touch of the chef, manager, and staff personally attending to the needs of its patrons. Regarding the food flavors; I look forward to this chef one day challenging Bobby Flay. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience KK...Gregory

Best food I have had in a long time.! Other than my own!The owner and his staff are very nice and anyone wanting a GREAT place to eat for home cooking should try this place at least once worth the trip trust me. God Bless.

This place is just perfect for some real Cajun soul food. Very clean, service is amazing and the potato soup is to die for. I highly recommend coming here.
